On Site Chair Massage or Corporate Massage
Why is Office Massage of Benefit?
Office massage, or on site chair massage, is an effective form of massage therapy based on Japanese acupressure massage called Anma. It focuses primarily on the neck, shoulders, back and arms.
To perform office massage, the client sits on a specially designed massage chair for greatest comfort. The client remains fully clothed and no oils are used. Each session lasts approximately 15 minutes and takes place in a meeting/training room or other quiet area in your workplace. Therefore over a period of 4-6 hours I can treat approximately 16-24 members of your workplace.
The benefits of on site chair massage to the individual includes relieving stress, tension, aches and pains, headaches, repetitive strain injury. Being a sports massage therapist I have a more clinical approach, so with clients who have specific issues around the neck and shoulder area I can integrate various soft tissue techniques and stretching.
I am also a Corrective Exercise Specialist, therefore I can also advise as to what type of exercise the client can best adopt. Chair massage also has a balancing effect on the body, leaving the client revitalised, energised with improved function.
The benefits of office massage, or onsite massage, to the organisation include reducing the possibility of employee absence from work due to stress related or soft-tissue muscular conditions, showing a sense of health and well-being to your staff therefore demonstrating that you care, and also helping to increase productivity, concentration and results by increasing staff motivation and morale.
My clinic is based in Cockermouth and I can cover the Cumbria, Lake District and North West areas.
I am happy to discuss your requirements with you if required.
